The Fish Slap...

I saw this past week the greatest eBay auction yet. A man is putting up for bids the opportunity to have his face slapped in public with a wet fish. See http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300016782808&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:UK:31 for this crazy auction. Yes, you're right it's me.

Why? Well, to get publicity. Christine Samuelian has been extremely kind and helped me with a press release and a photo call for the nations press. Within an hour of sending it out this morning, I had a live radio interview booked for a few hours time and a press photographer on his way over with the instruction to source his own fish. After a fun 30 minutes of puckering with the red snappoer, I dived back inside to speak to the British Forces and told them they should make their way down to Speakers Corner in Hyde Park this Saturday at high noon to see a slapping of their lifetime!

Here's hoping it'll get some good publicity - already around 400 people have checked out the auction, and it's only going to get more widely known! As I keep saying, half of what I'm trying to do is raise awareness for the Stroke Association www.stroke.org.uk, hopefully the funds will follow.
